<p>Your teeth are an asset that can help to make you look good and boost your confidence.  But not everyone is gifted with a white set of teeth, and teeth are naturally light yellow in color.</p>
<p>The teeth are an important part of a person&#39;s personality and interaction with other people.  They can affect the way a person carries himself.  This is one of the reasons why people need to keep their teeth free from stains.</p>
<p>In order to achieve this, you need to know certain factors that can lead to teeth staining.  These are:</p>
<p>1. Smoking or chewing tobacco.</p>
<p>Tobacco, whether smoked or chewed, is one of the most common causes of stained teeth.</p>
<p>2. Regular intake of colored drinks such as cola, tea, coffee, fruit juices and red wine.  </p>
<p>3. Frequent eating of pigmented fruits like blueberries can also increase your chances of getting yellow or stained teeth.</p>
<p>4. Certain pharmaceutical products are also known to affect the color of your teeth.  These include antibiotics like tetracycline and doxycycline, and antihistamines, antipsychotic, and antihypertensive drugs. </p>
<p> 4. Age<br /> <br />A person&#39;s age play a part in the color and appearance of his of her teeth.  This is because the surface enamel of the teeth erodes naturally as we age.</p>
<p>5. Excessive brushing or hard scrubbing which can lead to premature wearing out of the tooth enamel.</p>
<p>6. The buildup of plague or tartar can lead to teeth discoloration and cause stains to appear at the base of the teeth.</p>
<p>Most of the causes of teeth discoloration are contributed by external factors, and ways have been formulated to prevent or minimize their effect.  Here are simple ways to keep your teeth pearly white:</p>
<p>1. Use baking soda to scrub the surface of your teeth.</p>
<p>Baking soda is an effective teeth-scrubbing agent that does not cause damage to the enamel.  </p>
<p>Mix baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and use this combination as your toothpaste.  This will help to facilitate the removal of stains and particles that are trapped between your teeth.</p>
<p>Here&#39;s the formula:</p>
<p>1.1 Put one tablespoon of baking soda in a small cup and add to it a few drops of hydrogen peroxide.  Mix them well together until it becomes a paste.</p>
<p>1.2 Put some of the paste onto your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it.</p>
<p>1.3 After brushing your teeth with baking soda, rinse your mouth and brush your teeth again with the use of regular toothpaste.</p>
<p>1.4 Do this once a week for at least one month.  Do not use baking soda on a daily basis since it contains abrasive properties that can destroy the enamel on your teeth.</p>
<p>Another option would be to rinse your mouth with baking soda every time you smoke or take teeth-staining agents like colas, coffee, or tea, and brush your teeth after each meal.  They help to prevent the buildup of stains on your teeth. </p>

<p>Although the development of wrinkles is a natural occurrence, there are factors that you need to avoid as they can cause lines to appear prematurely on your skin.  These are smoking, excessive alcohol intake, excessive exposure to the sun, tanning booths, constant frowning, squinting, and regularly sleeping on either side of the face.</p>

<p>Here are some of the ways to lower bad cholesterol levels naturally:</p>
<p>1. Exercise regularly.</p>
<p>Regular exercise is the best strategy against the accumulation of bad cholesterol in the blood.  Some of these exercises include cycling, swimming, jogging or brisk walking, and some gymnastics.  </p>

<p>Triglycerides are one of the three lipids that make up your cholesterol levels.  It is an artery-clogging fat that can increase your risk from heart diseases, obesity and diabetes.</p>
<p>5. Supplement your diet with superfoods, vitamins and minerals.</p>
<p>Superfoods contain plenty of nutrients that help to keep you fit and healthy.  They include spirulina, chlorella, broccoli, sprouts and sea vegetables.  These are available in health food stores.  </p>
<p>You can buy supplementary vitamins and minerals from pharmacies.  Be sure to consult your doctor and read the label before taking any vitamin supplements.</p>

<p>Your voice comes from two vocal chords in your voice box.  You need to maintain the health of these organs to keep the quality of your voice.  Here are some of the ways to keep your voice &quot;healthy:&quot;</p>
<p>1. Drink sufficient amounts of water everyday.</p>
<p>Water is important to keep your vocal chords moist and to keep up with the throat&#39;s natural mucus production.  Drinking two liters or six to eight glasses a day would be sufficient to sustain the body&#39;s hydration needs.</p>

<p>For whatever purpose it is intended, fasting, especially short fasts, are beneficial to your health, and some of its health benefits include reduced risks form heart diseases, diabetes and even cancer.  Short fasts can also help to reduce oxidative stress that causes production of free radicals.  These are the main contributors of early aging and cell damage.</p>
<p>There are three major types of fasting and each of them is intended to accomplish a specific purpose.  These are:</p>
<p>1. Mono Fasting</p>
<p>Mono fasting is eating only one food for the sustenance of the body while all the rest are avoided.  Many people don&#39;t consider mono fasting as a fast but as a diet.  But because fasting is defined as the abstinence from some foods, mono fasting can still qualify as a fast.</p>
<p>Many people who practice mono fasting use grapes, apples, peaches and watermelons as their food of choice because of their nutritional and medicinal values.  Grapes for example, are one of the most common foods that people prefer for mono fasting because it is believed to have the ability to cure cancer.  This is known as the Grape Cure.</p>
<p>2. Water Fasting</p>
<p>Water fasting is the act of abstaining from solid foods and ingesting nothing but water.  It is the most powerful and effective form of fasting to release accumulated toxins in your body yet this is the toughest because it can bring a very intense craving for food.  </p>
<p>Water fasting is not advisable in situations where there are lots of distractions and the environment is not protective enough to ensure your safety as it can be too risky for your physical and mental health.  </p>

<p>It is a type of fasting in which you consume only fruit and vegetable juices to sustain your body.  Some cancer survivors claim that this type of fasting is very powerful and effective in cleansing the body from toxins and stopping the growth of cancer cells.  It is also easier on the mind and it helps to provide your body with enzymes, vitamins and minerals that your body needs throughout the fast.</p>
<p>One of the most beneficial effects of juice fasting is its ability to thin your blood and lighten the load of your heart while your body is busy getting rid of harmful toxins.</p>
<p>Fasting is beneficial and it can be enjoyable rather than a sacrifice if you do it properly.  To avoid negative consequences, you should prepare yourself prior to a fast.  And you should do it only under the supervision of a medical or health professional.</p>
